E-Zeum

E-Zeum

A museum experience is irreplaceable. There is nothing else like it, and tour guides can add greatly to that experience. However, the pandemic is presently making it problematic to take a tour through a museum. To make matters worse for museum lovers, what is currently offered online leaves a lot to be desired: Not many sites offer virtual museum tours, and when they are offered, there are not many offered in the same place. Also, they are usually confusing to book. Plus, there is no one-stop place offered where people can get both news AND tours. However, with my new E-Zeum site, solutions are on the way!

I conceived of E-Zeum as a desk-top website that allows its visitors to virtually attend museum tours from all over the world, all offered in one centralized location. Any museum can sign up and have their tour guides give their tours through the site, and users can search and sign up for whichever tour or tour times they would like. Anyone attending the virtual tours can ask questions about the exhibits, too, because the tours include live tour guides.

This website is essentially for anyone who wants to visit museums from the comfort of their own home. Through this site, users can not only virtually visit all of their favorite museums, but easily discover many new ones; many they would maybe otherwise never have access to. The complexities and burdens of traveling far distances are completely eliminated.

Furthermore, it provides an easy way to stay safe from the pandemic, and to not have to worry about any of the usual pandemic precautions. It is also ideal for those who want to connect with friends and family — or even go on school trips — in a safe, informative, and fun environment.

Additionally, to be more comprehensive and help support a stronger, unified online community, the site also features the latest museum news. This includes everything related to museums: events, galleries, the art market, books, podcasts, and more.

On this page I outline some of the journey I took to create this website, as well as show some advertising and merchandise ideas.
